Salaried, Non ExemptPosition DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYA tradesman engaged with the erection of machinery.
This includes such tasks as leveling, aligning and installing machinery on foundations or base plates and setting, leveling and aligning electric motors or other power sources such as turbines with the equipment.
We typically work with steel and must often combine the skills of other mechanical trades in order to successfully install industrial machinery or to assemble machines from prefabricated parts.
Millwrights must also be able to read blueprints and other schematics to aid them in the construction of complex systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES Mechanically inclined to disassemble and assemble Use tools as needed Read measuring tape and record proper measurements Read Blueprints, schematics and other technical documents Understand complex systems, equipment, motors and alignment Must be able to identify a problem and track to solve the issue Physically manipulate objects with tools and strength Coordinate and ensure all tasks are completed on time.
Follow directions carefully.
Comply with regulations and safety requirements.
Do any additional tasks that are asked or needed to be completed.
Perform all assigned roles, responsibilities, and related work processes / tasks in the safest possible manner.
Ensure that a safe, accident/incident- free work environment is maintained for all co-workers, customers, clients, suppliers, etc.
at all times PM20Position RequirementsEducation and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Willingness to safely complete any tasks that are assigned, with a positive attitude.
Mechanical aptitude Must be computer literate to operate the alignment equipment Rigging knowledge and skill to assist with movements, as needed.
Working Conditions Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting.
Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls and tools.
May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to:
hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.
