Summary:
This Senior Controls Application Engineer (ACES) participates as a member of the Centralized Services ACES Team to support the field with on-site support and remote services. The job duties range from remote programming, engineering and graphics to traveling to job sites to assist with installations, checkout and commissioning, systems integration and training.
Responsibilities:
Performing a variety of tasks as a member of the Centralized Services ACES team.
On-site installation, checkout and commissioning of Trane controls.
Custom programming for job-specific applications.
Engineering using the GraphICS/CSET software tool.
Field tech and customer training.
Product Development Team assignments, including functional design, new product testing and product literature development.
Expected Travel: 75%
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree and at least 5 years of HVAC controls installation & programming experience required; OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is a plus.
Key Competencies:
Perform a variety of tasks as a member of the Centralized Services ACES team to internationally support Trane sales offices.
Sound working knowledge of HVAC fundamentals, systems, equipment, and controls.
On-site installation, checkout and commissioning of Trane controls.
Custom programming for job-specific applications.
Demonstrate initiative to work independently with the ability to meet deadlines within a stressful environment.
Effective oral and written skills to communicate with customers and colleagues.
Local field tech and customer training.
Product Development Team assignments, including functional design, new product testing and product literature development.
Complex integration projects communicating across multiple building automation protocols.
Complex IT and BACnet Network Knowledge is preferred.

Advanced knowledge and experience with Trane controls solutions is preferred.
