Strategic Marketing Planning Manager

BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY: The Strategic Marketing Planning Manager aligns key stakeholder strategic and tactical priorities with chief purpose of developing customer centric marketing and communication plans.  Partnering with senior leaders across category management, customer solutions and service, customer segmentation, marketing and sales the Strategic Marketing Planning Manager leads the cross-functional joining of goals and objectives to deliver sales growth results.   DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:   Strategic Marketing Planning: Directs and facilitates monthly, quarterly and annual marketing planning with all strategic cross-functional stakeholders. Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop customer centric marketing strategies aligned to deliver revenue and market share growth. Serves as marketing advisor to stakeholders to assist with articulation of value propositions, develop marketing objectives in support of key priorities. Works closely with category strategy leadership to connect category business objectives with sales and marketing objectives to develop integrated marketing strategies and plans. Works closely with solution and services leadership to connect business objectives with sales and marketing objectives to develop integrated marketing strategies and plans. Champions simplifying internal complexity and connecting stakeholder teams to deliver customer-valued marketing communications aligned to company strategy. Leads, collaborates and facilitates inclusion of go-to-market stakeholder marketing and communication plans including the development of strategic business briefs, project briefs, setting goals and metrics and agreement/approval with leadership. Oversee the overall strategic marketing calendar including major campaigns, product/solution/service/offering launches, major marketing events. Stays current on strategic marketing planning best practices.   Communication Operates as the primary marketing liaison for stakeholder leaders and develops strong working relationships with effective bilateral lines of communication. Actively develops effective cross-functional network to establish a broad base of business knowledge and perspective. Works closely with and regularly informs stakeholder team members to ensure ongoing alignment and coordination with the marketing team. Plays a critical role ensuring stakeholders are aware of marketing activities through communication of the marketing calendar, plan updates and program results. Manages, protects and builds the MSC brand by ensuring consistency in communications and adherence to brand standards including voice, identity and tone. May participate in sales meetings, attend conferences as a company representative, serve on committees, and attend meetings when marketing planning expertise is required.   Additional Responsibilities Performs all duties inherent in the role of MSC Manager as defined by the MSC Code of Conduct including hiring, termination, review, and development of associates. Budget management. Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSCs mission. Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.   EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:   Minimum of eight years of business experience required with a minimum of 5 years in a marketing / strategy function. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or the equivalent experience is required, MBA preferred. Previous experience operating in large matrixed organization preferred. Proven experience leading cross-functional product/service marketing planning and coordination to deliver marketing strategies is required. Solid leadership, interpersonal skills and coaching experience required. Prior experience working closely with senior executives preferred. Previous management of associates preferred. Product or category marketing experience preferred.   SKILLS:   Results driven, highly motivated individual with strong executive presence and command skills is required. An effective negotiator with excellent interpersonal skills that can manage conflict and resolve internal differences is required. Expert ability to navigate and get things done both through formal channels and informal networks is required. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate strategic vision is required. Nimble and adaptable, able to manage ambiguity, be resilient and lead change is required. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
